To apply for a library card, stop by the library and complete a registration form. Please bring a valid Michigan Driver’s License or Michigan ID and proof of Allendale or Tallmadge Township residency, if your ID does not reflect it.

Running into a problem trying to get a digital library card? Call us at 616-895-4178. There may be some instances you will need to come into the library to get your library card.
Visit our online catalog to log in to your account. Once you have created a username, you may access your online account with your library card number and PIN. Your PIN, when your account is created, is set to the last four digits of your phone number.
While logged into your online account, you may:
- check due dates of current items you have checked out
- renew items (most items will have two auto-renewals as long as there are no holds)
- search the catalog and place holds on items to be picked up at your home library
- pay fines
- enable and then browse your borrowing history

Check out a pass to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum! Good for free admission up to 6 visitors. Please note: The pass will expire at the end of each month. Only one pass allowed per adult library card, per year. For more information visit fordlibrarymuseum.gov
Thank you for your interest in using our meeting room. The meeting room at the Allendale Township Library is available without charge for library/township related groups and local non-profit/service organizations. The meeting room is available to other organizations and individuals at a charge of $50 for up to 4 hours.
Reservations need to be made at least 7 days in advance along with payment, if applicable.
Please go to "Reserve a Room" to submit a reservation. If your reservation is approved, you will receive a confirmation email.
Would you like to volunteer at the library? Are you 14 years or older? Interested volunteers should fill out the appropriate forms below. Once complete, drop the forms off at the library. Your application will be reviewed and if we have a need for help, we will reach out to you.

A photocopy machine with printing, copying, and scanning functions is available at Allendale Township Library.
Printing services include:
- Print, in black and white or color, from a library computer, or a personal phone or tablet
- Make copies in black and white or color
- Scan to email or USB
- Send or receive a fax

Every three years, Allendale Township Library updates patron records to ensure that we have current, accurate information. This helps the library provide you with the best service possible.
To update your account, you may call us at (616) 895-4178, or visit the library in person.
Please note: You must be the cardholder, or the co-signer for a minor, in order to update a library account.

Please note that due to the volume of purchase recommendations, we are only able to consider requests by Allendale Township Library cardholders.
While we do not offer notary services at the library, the Allendale Charter Township Office can help. Although appointments are not mandatory, we highly recommend you call before going in to ensure a notary is available. Call at (616) 895-6295.
