1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
It is never too early to start reading to your child and it is never too soon to start preparing for kindergarten. This program is simple and fun! Kids get credit for each book they listen to. Books read anywhere by anyone count whether they are library books at storytime, books read by a sibling or daycare provider, or audiobooks listened to on a mobile device. Does 1,000 books seem overwhelming? If you have 1 year before kindergarten, that is just 3 books a day. If you have 3 years to kindergarten, that is only 1 book per day to achieve the goal of 1,000 books!
