Engine House No. 5 was originally constructed in the city of Grand Rapids in 1880. It was torn down in 1981 and reconstructed as a Fire Museum in 1984. Learn more about the history of Allendale here!

The mission of the Family LIFE Center is to demonstrate Christ’s love to young women experiencing unplanned pregnancies by equipping them for the challenges of Life. Our housing program accommodates pregnant women.

Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids provides free emotional healthcare to children, adults, families, and friends on any kind of cancer journey or those grieving the death of someone in their life due to any cause.

If you are currently experiencing homelessness or have received a court summons for an eviction, we are here to help. Our experienced staff, some of whom have also experienced homelessness, are here to walk with you through the next steps as you seek safe, affordable and stable housing. As you journey back into housing, we offer clear housing assessment services that focus on asking only necessary questions.

Individually and collectively, our OAISD team of employees come to work each day inspired by a common PURPOSE: to learn, to serve, and lead in an effort to faciliatate and support personalized learning.

Twice a month (on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays) free diapers and wipes are given away to families who need a little extra love and support for their infants.
